What are your general impressions of your studies and RST as a whole?

I really enjoy what I am studying and the way I am able to quickly apply what I have learned. Also I love the support I receive from my advisor and the other RST students.

What has been your most interesting experience at the University of Illinois?

There is not one particular event that was better than any other, but I really enjoy the overall spirit of the entire campus through sporting events or service projects. Walking through the quad on a weekday and seeing all the different organizations out there with hot dogs or popsicles and seeing the tight rope walkers is one of my favorite pastimes still.

What are your post-graduation plans?

My plans after graduating are to get an internship with either the Olympics or a recreation facility in event planning.

What extracurricular activities/student organizations are you involved with?

I am involved with the I-LEAP program within the college of Applied Health Science. I-LEAP (The Mannie L. Jackson Illinois Academic Enrichment and Leadership Program) provides as extra support for students and promotes academics, service, and leadership.

What do you like to do for fun?

I like to go to dinner with my friends and attend various Illini sporting events for fun.

Why would you recommend RST and the College of Applied Health Sciences to others?

I would recommend AHS to others because it is a smaller college that offers more help and support than other colleges. If there are students who are really interested in recreation, sport, or tourism, I would definitely encourage them to look into RST, because it is a very rewarding and fun major that allows students to manage a field of self satisfaction through various types of leisure.
