Core Requirements—12 credit hours:
- RST 501–Theories and Concepts of Leisure—4 hours
- RST 503–Advanced Leisure Research Methods—4 hours
- RST 502–Critical Issues in Recreation Management—4 hours
Or
RST 520 –Critical Issues in Sport Management—4 hours
Or
RST 530–Critical Issues in Tourism Management—4 hours
Plus:
RST 590–Seminar (2 semesters are required)— 0 hours
Restricted Electives—16 credit hours:
Restricted electives are selected in consultation with advisor and include specialization and approved elective courses
in the department as well as outside the department.
Thesis—8 credit hours:
- RST 599–Thesis Research—8 hours
