(1) Thesis Option: 36 hours total
Core Requirements—12 credit hours:
- RST 501–Theories and Concepts of Leisure—4 hours
- RST 502–Critical Issues of Recreation Management—4 hours
- RST 503–Advanced Leisure Research Methods—4 hours
- RST 590–Seminar (2 semesters are required)—0 hours
Restricted Electives—16 credit hours:
Restricted electives are selected in consultation with advisor and include specialization and approved elective courses
in the department as well as outside the department.
Thesis—8 credit hours:
- RST 599–Thesis Research—8 hours
All course selections must be made in consultation with your academic advisor.
(2) Non-Thesis Option: 36 hours total
